Over forty club members
attended the three-day Historic Festival at
Silverstone in July, with many of them
bringing their cars to the club stand. At
first we expected things to be rather quiet,
but soon we were proved wrong as we had
visitors coming to see us almost
continuously for the entire time. The stand
looked really excellent with its Lotus
Elevens, Elans (including the ex- Jim Clark
Elan), type 14 Elites, Lotus Sevens, a
Lotus-Cortina, several Elises, M100s, Exiges
and Esprits. Other club members were more
involved racing their cars in pre-65 Formula
One, pre-60 Sports Cars and Formula Junior.
