The club returned to
Oakley Hall in North Hampshire for its
annual summer drive-in, posh lunch and car
show. Once again we were lucky with the
weather as we had a fine day, even though
the previous week had been terrible. Cars on
display were three Europa Specials, several
Elans, a healthy gathering of M100s, a
Formula One, a fantastic Bristol Special (it
qualifies as a Lotus as it has highly
modified Elise seats!), several Esprits, an
early Elite and an Evora. The Autoglym
shield for the best-maintained car went to
Gary Parkin with his JPS Esprit.
