At the suggestion of John Lovell the Historic Lotus Club entered the two-day Bristol Classic Car Show for the first time. It was soon clear that the planned six places would not be enough and a larger stand was requested. Unfortunately all spaces had been booked, so John decided to make the best of things and squeezed all nine cars on to the original stand. The weekend was a great success and the first time that Lotus had made any real impression at this show.
